How to Be Your True Self in a Society That Worships Fakeness ⋆ LonerWolf

I’ve never been one of those people who could fake a smile or an emotion. I try to be as down to earth realistic as I can be. Sometimes, I tell it as I see it; other times, I stay silent. What has always been an important trait I look for in friends and especially my husband, has been the ability, to tell the truth. I respect that quality in people.

There is so much fakeness in our world. Everybody wants to keep up with the Jones’. Why? There are so many ways to boost your confidence that are more fulfilling.

This week, (Luna and Sol) takes on the issue of how to be your true self. Click the link below to learn more. ❤

“Being your true self is about being exactly who you are, whatever the heck that looks like. It’s about understanding and accepting the fact that being flawed is perfectly fine. It’s about embracing all the ugliness, weirdness, and ‘defects’ inherent in your nature. Find out how!”

  1. I loved this. It’s plain and simple that it’s easier to be our true selves than pretending to be what we are not. It’s no different than lying – hard to keep on top of lies when the truth is just easy. ❤

  2. Terrific share, Colleen. So many people look outside of themselves for answers and validation. I think this becomes a habit in childhood if we’re not taught to stand on our two feet and take our power ❤️

  3. The effort it takes to be someone I am not is too much. I just don’t have it in me. We are forced to bend to societal rules and regulations, but not forced to sacrifice who we are deep inside. Thank you for sharing this insightful post, Colleen! Hugs!
