Happy International YOGA day!
Last week was busy and filled with celebrations, so I totally missed International Yoga day!
But… thanks to my dear friend Sarah Brentyn, (from her blog, Lemon Shark), to remind me in the nicest way possible. She sent me PRESENTS!
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Sarah from her participation in my weekly poetry challenge and from the Carrot Ranch Literary Community. Don’t ever believe when people tell you that you can’t make friends online. In my case, I’ve been truly blessed. ❤
Sarah sent me the book, A Morning Cup of Yoga, One 15-minute Routine for a Lifetime of Health and Wellness, by Jane Goad Trechsel. Amazon Link
The book teaches how to begin your morning with mindfulness, balance, and a morning cup of yoga! I love this idea!
The first chapter deals with proper breathing—conscious breathing, to be exact. I do this during mediation so I am thrilled to incorporate a skill I’ve been working on for a few years now. Ujjayi breathing, double breathing, and silent breath are all featured.
Here’s an example of Ujjayi breathing.
I don’t mean for this to be a book review, not yet! I’ll get to that at a later date. What I do want to do is share my yoga experiences. I’ll be learning how to incorporate 15 yoga minutes a day into my life towards better health. I hope you’ll join me! ❤
Namaste and Blessed BE! ❤
I love that girl Sarah! And I miss yoga, I used to go to classes long ago. Yoga and Pilates are my fav. 🙂 ❤

Sarah is a darling. I told her that I had never done yoga and she said she had a book for me. I know breathing is really important. I’m excited to get started. ❤

Once I read this book, I’ll share more and find videos. We’ll all do it together. 🧘♀️ Yoga will help us with meditation too. ❤️

Yes! Even though I don’t do yoga anymore, one thing I still do is the breathing exercises. It’s amazing how deep breathing can calm and relax you. :)<3

Aw, you’re too sweet. Happy Solstice and Happy Yoga Day! Thrilled you received the package and hope you find it useful. I love Morning Cup of Yoga. It’s full of gentle exercises that start your day off on the right note (and can help when you’re sitting at a desk writing, too). I am so happy to see you’ll be adding yoga to your daily routine. Namaste. Love & light, my friend. 💖

I am so happy I had a copy of that book. I love it and when you said you wanted some gentle yoga I knew I had to send that to you. Just…meant to be. And, then I couldn’t send it right away which worked out because I was picking up crystals here and there that said, “Send me to Colleen!” So…I guess the universe was speaking. 😉 💖
