Here is my Etheree poem for this week’s poetry challenge using the word “slip” for fall, and “endeavor” for the word, try. This poetry form is now part of the challenge.


Slip Into Mabon

Mabon and
celebrate the
rituals of the
season by sharing food,
counting one’s hidden blessings,
honoring the mother goddess,
filled with an endeavor to succeed
by remembering our ancestor’s truth.

Fall is upon us; on September 22, 2018 the sun enters Libra marking the fall equinox, the first day of fall. The two days between the 22nd and 24th are great days for mother nature, and the cosmos is making sure that humanity is in check by ensuring that there is a perfect balance between the heavens and the earth.

Soon the leaves will turn brown, orange, and yellow, and their sweet smell will fill our noses with delight. Warm fuzzy sweaters and hot cocoa will be the theme for family and gatherings as we prepare for the upcoming winter.
