My New Moon Blessings

lunar phases

Good morning! I chose today, November 8, 2018 to set my new moon intentions because the number 8 figures prominently in my life, as it also shows up in my birth date. We also have eight Sisters of the Fey… Eight is also the number of infinity. I feel good karma with this number.

Sister of the Fey, Annette Rochelle Aben wrote a piece about how we can bring more abundance into our lives. Click HERE to read what she suggests.

I wanted to give an example of how I chose to set my intentions and how I opened my heart to more abundance so that you can see how simple this practice is. Do what works for you, because this is about setting your own intentions to attract more abundance into your life.

The first thing I did was to prepare myself with meditation. I listened to this meditation:

The meditation asks you to set your intention in the beginning, which I did. While meditating I was able to visualize the things that were important to me. After the meditation, I wrote out my abundance check. On the back of the check, I wrote my hopes, wishes, and dreams.

I have an altar set up, so following Annette’s instructions, I placed my New moon Blessings check, folded and tucked in with my healing crystals.

Annette says:

“…On the next FULL MOON, I will rip my check into tiny pieces and flush it down the toilet. Why? Because I have no safe place where I can burn the check. If you have access to a safe burning place, by all means, burn baby, burn!”

There are various sites that give you the opportunity to follow the moon’s phases according to your location. I like moongiant.com because it gives you other great moon information. Here is a calendar to show the phases of the moon for the month of November.

The full moon for November takes place on the 23rd. I’ll probably destroy my check the same way that Annette suggested. I do plan on getting a vessel of some sort that I can use outside for burning these abundance checks. I might use our BBQ grill as a safe burning place. (Good idea).

That’s it! Open your heart and let the law of abundance transform your life. Learn how to trust in your own magical powers. ❤

  1. Thanks for sharing your personal New Moon Ceremony, Colleen! Abundance is ours. It is a promise. We are the only things that block it with limiting beliefs. I wish you prosperity, and abundance of all the things you desire, my friend!
